Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee Program (NLPNP)
The NLPNP offers several streams for immigration, targeting individuals with vital skills and experience:
Express Entry Skilled Worker: This stream is designed for skilled workers in NOC Skill Level 0, A, or B occupations who have a guaranteed job offer and are already in the federal Express Entry pool. Qualified candidates may apply to become part of Newfoundland and Labrador’s skilled workforce through this pathway.
Skilled Worker: Experienced workers possessing specialized skills and a confirmed job offer from a local employer can apply under this stream. It welcomes candidates from all NOC Skill Levels, aiming to match employer needs with the right expertise.
International Graduate: Graduates holding post-graduate work permits from recognized post-secondary institutions in Canada, and who are employed or have job offers in Newfoundland and Labrador related to their field of study, are eligible for this program.
Business Immigration Categories
International Entrepreneur Category: Aimed at foreign nationals with experience in business ownership and management, this category provides an opportunity for those looking to invest in and manage a business within the province.
International Graduate Entrepreneur Category: Specifically for foreign nationals who have completed at least a two-year post-secondary program in Newfoundland & Labrador and possess at least one year of business management experience within the province.
Points Assessment Grid
Applicants for the NLPNP Express Entry Skilled Worker Program must score a minimum of 67 points on the following Assessment Grid to qualify:
Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program (AIPP)
Newfoundland and Labrador are active participants in the AIPP, an initiative aimed at spurring economic growth across Canada’s Atlantic provinces. The AIPP streamlines the immigration process for individuals who have secured a job offer from a designated employer in the Atlantic region.
