Entry Requirements for the Express Entry Pool
Eligibility for the pool hinges on meeting the criteria of one of three managed immigration programs:
- The Canadian Experience Class is aimed at skilled workers with recent Canadian work experience.
- The Federal Skilled Worker Program targets individuals with foreign work experience, assessing them on education and other factors.
- The Federal Skilled Trades Program caters to skilled tradespeople, requiring a valid job offer or a certificate of qualification in a skilled trade.
Upon establishing eligibility under one of these programs, applicants can create their Express Entry profile and enter the pool, awaiting an invitation to apply for Canadian Permanent Residency. Additionally, eligible candidates may pursue the Provincial Nominee Program through Express Entry, which could lead to additional points and a faster invitation process if nominated.
